Playing at The Grande Golf Club in Jackson (MI), the Foresters posted a 314 in each of their first two rounds before firing a 309 in the last round.

“We were close to a good showing this week and we are certainly much better than the scores show,” said Coach Sholund. “We struggled with a few holes that got away from us each day.

“Overall, I am encouraged with the potential I am seeing and we will focus on improving this coming weekend the USF Invitational.”

Wayne State sat atop the leaderboard with an 875 followed by Saint Francis (876), Taylor (890), Marian (907), Grace (912), Mount Vernon (922), Grand Rapids CC (927), Taylor B (927), Spring Arbor (929), HU (937), Viterbo (951), Cornerstone (973) and Spring Arbor B (1020).

The Foresters are back in action later this week to compete in the Saint Francis Fall Invitational slated for September 28-29.
