WOMEN’S TENNIS

The Huntington women’s tennis team played a pair of matches on Saturday at IWU’s Sutter Tennis Center. After being swept by conference-leading Indiana Wesleyan (9-0, 7-0) in the morning, the Foresters did the same to Judson later in the day to move to 7-3 overall, 5-3 in league play.

As the entire Crossroads League can attest, IWU is a dynasty. The Wildcats haven’t lost a conference match since 2014 and have swept every team they’ve played this season except for giving up a point to No. 2 in the league Marian. Today the Foresters experienced that firsthand.

HU got back on track this afternoon by blanking Judson 5-0. It was the first time these two teams have met and was stopped after the Foresters earned enough points for the win.

Coach Ferguson’s crew is back in action on Tuesday when they host Bethel at 4:00 p.m.
