MEN’S TENNIS

The Forester men’s tennis team manhandled Mount Vernon Wednesday afternoon to kick-off its season with a 9-0 sweep. The win is HU’s second straight over the Cougars with last year marking MVNU’s first season as a newly resurrected program.

Behind its three seniors, HU made quick work of its hosts by giving up just 11 games in its nine matches. It made for a quick afternoon of tennis as Huntington claimed not only its first win of the season, but its first league win of the season as well.

Huntington is back in action on August 29 at Spring Arbor for a 3:00 p.m. matchup with the Cougars.
