MEN’S TENNIS

After being blanked by #22 Indiana Wesleyan on day one of IWU’s Mark Richards Classic, the HU men’s tennis team rebounded with a pair of wins over league foes Taylor and Grace to end the season on a high note.

The Wildcats swept HU in doubles action and then recorded two quick wins in singles play to cut the match short and claim the 5-0 win on Friday. The Foresters then followed suit by blanking both of their opponents on Saturday in shortened matches.

Against Taylor in the morning, Huntington gutted out three intense tiebreaker wins in doubles and that momentum carried over into singles action to make for quick work of the Trojans for a 5-0 win.

In HU’s afternoon match with the Lancers, Eckert’s crew earned three points in doubles before cruising to four more Ws in singles play for the 7-0 decision over GC.

The Foresters wrap up the year with an overall record of 13-5.
