HU Women’s Auxiliary Garage Sale
Thanks and thanks again! The 23rd Annual Benefit Garage Sale met with success! Best ever receipts totaled $1891.21. HU Women’s Auxiliary funds are designated toward dorm lounge furnishings and the Auxiliary Scholarship.
Jerry Gressley and the HU Maintenance Staff along with Russ Lawson, PERC, excelled again as the Set-Up Crew.
Jason Wright, Friesen Center Program coordinator, enlisted volunteers from Fellowship of Christian Athletes, to assist him with the Clean Up Committee, chaired by Paul and Jean Michelson. Special commendation goes to Habitat ReStore with “two men and a truck.”
The Thursday evening Sorting Party, chaired by Diane Frame and Kelly Ruiz, included Charlotte Hippensteel, Kathryn Eckert, Nancy Peace, Diana Shenefield, along with Samuel, Lucy, and Erin Landon. The Friday morning Sorting Party, chaired by Kelly Berggren and Leah Doughty, included Diane Frame, Linda Bordeaux, Anne Helmich, Barb Hirschy, Alice Myers, JoAnn Rowley, and Kelly Ruiz. The Sales Team included Pat Brown, Sharon Custer, Eleanore Datema, Loretta Dutcher, Barb Fetters, Brenda Knipp, Bob and Winnie Kaehr, Nancy Peace, and Paul and Barbara Fetters. Local community volunteers faithfully helped HU personnel in all areas again this year.
Countless contributors and shoppers made this exceptional event happen. We extend to all of you the sincere appreciation from residents of Hickory Creek at Huntington, Habitat ReStore, Huntington House, and the Salvation Army, Fort Wayne, who were recipients of unsold items.
