WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL

The HU women’s volleyball team claimed two of the three Crossroads League weekly honors on Monday, as junior defensive specialist Kennedy Urban (Franklin, Ind.) was named Defender of the Week for the second consecutive week and sophomore outside hitter Maggie Hollon (Warsaw, Ind.) was voted Attacker of the Week.

For Hollon, the award marks her second weekly league honor of the fall. The 5-10 outside hitter led HU’s attack across two straight 3-0 sweep victories, averaging 5.2 kills and 2.8 digs per set. Her week was highlighted by a double-double performance (18 kills/11 digs) against Bethel.

Urban anchored the Foresters’ back row with another dominant defensive display. The junior turned in a pair of 20-dig gems, averaging 7.5 digs per set across the six frames. Her defensive presence was instrumental in Huntington’s two sweep wins, which included a signature victory over No. 23 Spring Arbor.
