OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD

The outdoor track & field season reaches its grand finale next week as Huntington gears up for the 2026 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships set for May 20-22 at Karl Straus Track in Asheville, North Carolina.

With qualifying standards and national competition continuing to rise, this year’s championship field proved to be one of the toughest to crack in recent history, making Huntington’s national qualifiers an even more impressive accomplishment.

Leading the charge for HU is Jayden Williams, who enters the national meet with the program’s highest seed. The sophomore owns the 10th seed in the 400 meters after breaking the school record with his time of 46.93.

Caleb Farr also heads to Asheville with momentum after qualifying in pole vault with a mark of 4.80 meters. He shares the 12th seed in an event where ten competitors cleared the same height during qualifying.

On the women’s side, Anna Jeannin will compete in high jump as the 17th seed after soaring 1.68 meters this spring, while Trysta Hilton punched her ticket in the 400 meter hurdles where she enters the field seeded 28th with a time of 1:02.73. Hilton is also the lone Forester returning to outdoor nationals in the same event.

Celestin Trambloy will represent the Foresters in the men’s 400 meter hurdles as the 22nd seed after clocking in at 53.14.

The Foresters will also send its men’s 4×800 meter relay squad to nationals. Ben Roberts, Jaden Kropp, Luis Flores and Lance Wyrick combined to post a qualifying time of 7:41.01 to earn the 25th seed heading into the national meet.

Athletes who finish in the top eight during prelims advance to the finals and earn NAIA All-American honors. Fans can catch all three days of competition live on the Urban Edge Network (UEN).

Outdoor nationals will officially wrap up Huntington University athletics for the 2025-26 campaign.
