WOMEN’S GOLF
The Forester women’s golf team closed the book on a historic season with a gritty showing at the Crossroads League Championships, held May 4-5 at Harrison Lake Country Club in Columbus.
Huntington turned in rounds of 339, 315, and 332 across the 54-hole, two-day event to post a 986 and finish sixth in the nine-team field. After a slow start, HU bounced back in a big way on day two, firing a tournament-best 315 in round two to climb the leaderboard before settling into sixth place.
Magnolia Miller led the way for the Foresters, tying for 11th out of 45 golfers with a 234 (78-79-77), capping her tournament with her best round. Riley Kitson and Grace Dill provided steady depth, both tying for 23rd at 251, with Kitson carding rounds of 87-81-83 and Dill going 89-80-82. Madelyn Weaver finished 28th with a 257 (88-79-90), highlighted by a collegiate-best 79 in the second round, while Aniyah Copeland rounded out the lineup with a tie for 29th at 262 (86-90-86).
The league championship marks the end of the 2025-26 campaign for Huntington, a season that will go down as one of the best in program history. The Foresters captured a team title at the Saints Classic, finished in the top three in seven of nine regular season events and garnered national attention with votes in the NAIA poll.
