MEN’S BASKETBALL

Another week, another league honor for Kaden Johnson. The Huntington men’s basketball standout has been named the Crossroads League Men’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week, following another dominant stretch that helped propel the #RV Foresters to a statement win over No. 10 Bethel Saturday afternoon.

Johnson anchored HU’s upset of the Pilots with an 18-point, 12-rebound, five-assist double-double, controlling the paint and facilitating the offense when it mattered most. Against a pair of top-10 opponents on the week, the senior averaged 19.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game.

The honor marks Johnson’s fourth Offensive Player of the Week award this season, further cementing one of the most impressive season portfolios in the Crossroads League. He also earned CL Defensive Player of the Week recognition back in December, highlighting his ability to influence the game on both ends of the floor.

Johnson’s consistency and efficiency have been instrumental in Huntington’s success this season, as the Foresters sit at 18–6 overall and 9–5 in league play. With four regular-season games remaining, HU is tied for fourth place in the CL standings alongside Taylor as the postseason picture continues to take shape.

Johnson and the Foresters return to action Wednesday night, traveling to Goshen for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off with the Maple Leafs.
