🎣 Gone Phishin’: Don’t Get Hooked!

You wouldn’t bite a suspicious worm dangling from a sketchy fishing pole, right? Well, cybercriminals are hoping you’ll do just that — digitally.

Phishing is the art of baiting people into giving up sensitive info. And like any good scam, it comes in flavors:

🧑‍💼 Spear phishing: Personalized bait. “Hi Bob, it’s Tim from Accounting. Can you send me your login and a pizza?” (Spoiler: Tim didn’t really ask for pizza.)

🏢 Whaling: Big fish, big bait. Targets execs with emails like “Your yacht warranty is expiring.” Fancy!

📱 Smishing: Phishing via SMS. “Your bank account is locked. Click this link to unlock it and maybe unleash chaos.”

📞 Vishing: Voice phishing. A scammer calls pretending to be tech support. “Yes, we need your password to fix your toaster.”

🌐 Clone phishing: A legit email gets duplicated with a malicious twist. It’s like getting a fake birthday card from your grandma…with malware.

🛡️ Pro tip: If it smells phishy, don’t bite. Hover over links, verify senders, and never trust a message that feels like it’s trying too hard.
