The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has announced its 2024-25 All-Academic Teams and individual award winners, with Huntington University earning recognition across the board for outstanding performance in the classroom.

Both the HU men’s and women’s track and field teams were named USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams, an honor reserved for programs with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. The recognition reflects the academic commitment of the entire roster, as eligibility is based on the GPAs of all student-athletes listed on the institution’s eligibility certificate. The Huntington women turned in a collective GPA of 3.38 while the men posted a 3.2 GPA.

Individually, 11 Foresters were named NAIA Academic All-Americans by the USTFCCCA. To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 and achieve an NAIA automatic or provisional qualifying mark during either the indoor or outdoor season.

The five women earning All-Academic honors were:

  • Abbey Gentz (Exercise Science & Nutrition)
  • Trysta Hilton (Psychology)
  • Josey Reineman (Graphic Design)
  • Emily Tedder (Exercise & Movement Science)
  • Erica Xayarath (MBA)

The six men recognized included:

  • Jan Busam (Electrical Engineering)
  • Zach Collins (MBA)
  • Reece Gibson (MBA)
  • Jonah Lemmon (Psychology)
  • Tyler Loucks (Occupational Therapy Assistant)
  • Celestin Trambloy (MBA)
