MEN’S TENNIS

Senior Andres Jimenez capped off his impressive tennis career at Huntington University by earning Second Team All-American honors, as announced earlier today by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

The Bucaramanga, Colombia native is one of only 16 players nationwide to receive the distinction and joins an elite group as just the fifth Forester in program history to be recognized by the NAIA at this level.

Serving as one of HU’s top singles player, Jimenez compiled an outstanding 14-3 singles record and a 14-6 mark in doubles play. His leadership and consistency were instrumental in guiding the Foresters to their first national tournament appearance since 2011.

Over his two-year tenure in Forester green, Jimenez earned back-to-back All-Conference honors and helped lead the team to consecutive second-place conference finishes. The squad closed out the season with a strong 12-5 overall record, including a 7-1 mark in Crossroads League play.
