The Huntington softball team was well-represented in the 2025 Crossroads League postseason awards as announced earlier today by the league office.

Leading the way was junior Gena Moore who was named First Team All-League. The starting first baseman from Winchester (Ind.) turned in a standout season at the plate, leading the Foresters with a .410 batting average, the12th best in the league. Moore also led the team in RBI (40) and hits (68), ranking 13th and top 10 in the league respectively.

Junior Jess Duvall, a Second Team All-League selection this year, followed up her First Team and Gold Glove recognition in 2024 with another impressive campaign at third base. The Vevay (Ind.) native posted a .401 batting average, tallying 65 hits, including 13 doubles, three triples, and three home runs. She drove in 38 runs and scored a team-best 49 times, finishing with an impressive .484 on-base percentage.

Joining her sister in the postseason spotlight, junior shortstop Maddie Duvall was named Honorable Mention All-League. She wrapped up the year with a .315 batting average, recorded 45 hits, 30 RBI and crossed the plate 24 times.

Sophomore pitcher Kinzie Mollenkopf earned Honorable Mention All-League honors this season, building on her impressive debut year when she was named to the All-League Second Team in 2024. The Logansport (Ind.) native posted a 3.36 ERA, sixth best in the league, while going 11-8 in the circle, tying for seventh in total wins. Over 133.1 innings pitched, Mollenkopf tallied 112 strikeouts, fifth in the league, and issued just 34 walks. Her 1.33 WHIP underscored her command and consistency, while opponents managed only a .271 batting average against her. She also averaged 5.88 strikeouts per seven innings.

The Foresters also made a clean sweep on defense, claiming four of the six Crossroads League Gold Glove awards for infielders, underlining their reputation as the best infield unit in the conference. Gold Gloves were awarded to:

Capping off the honors, first-year head coach Tim Averill was named Co-Coach of the Year by his Crossroads League peers. Averill’s debut season was historic, leading the Foresters to 33 wins, the second-most in program history, and a third-place finish in the regular season, Huntington’s best showing since the 2015-16 season.
