MEN’S SOCCER

HU sophomore Sam Dolobaipu is one of the best in the nation. The 6-3 forward was tabbed a Third Team All-American as announced by the NAIA earlier today.

Dolobaipu’s resume this season included netting a team-leading 13 goals while also handing out a team-best eight assists for 34 points. His 13 goals ranks 35th among his NAIA peers while he sits 34th in the NAIA in points scored.

Dolobaipu is one of nine Foresters in Huntington men’s soccer history to receive an All-American designation. The Crossroads League Newcomer of the Year last season, Dolobaipu earned a spot on the All-League First Team this fall after leading his team to a league regular season title, the program’s first since 1989.

Each of the three NAIA All-America teams is comprised of a goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders, three forwards and one at-large position.

Huntington wrapped up the year with an overall record of 13-6-2 and for the first time since 2019, the Foresters made an appearance at the NAIA National Championships.
