WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL
The defending national champion Indiana Wesleyan Wildcats (25-2, 15-0) visited Platt Arena on Saturday on a 32-game win streak against Crossroads League opponents. The Wildcats flexed their muscles and took down the Huntington University women’s volleyball team in three sets (25-13, 25-8, 25-14) to extend that streak to 33 games.
The Foresters (13-14, 5-10) were unable to get the offensive attack in a groove, registering just 18 kills on the day. Maisyn Robrock led the HU offense with seven kills. Nigella Reck and Makailah Thompson combined with senior Kennedy Kintz to assist on 16 HU attacks. Defensively, Layla Meyer had 19 digs and Keila Garton had eight digs, while HU notched four blocks on 45 IWU kills.
With just three games remaining in the regular season, the Foresters look to extend their 12-game win streak over the Goshen College Maple Leafs (6-25. 1-14) when they travel to Goshen on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
