End of Fiscal Year Purchase Reminders

Our fiscal year ends this week on May 31, so please be aware of the following regarding purchases and expense recognition:

1. Purchase orders for fiscal year 2023-2024 can no longer be requested.
2. To recognize expenses against the 2023-2024 budget, accounting rules dictate that the goods and services must be received prior to or on May 31, 2024. There are no exceptions.
3. Goods and services received after May 31, 2024, will be recorded in fiscal year 2024-2025.
4. The Office of Business & Finance will accept invoices and payments for 2023-2024 expenses through June 15, 2024. Please clearly indicate on the invoice the correct fiscal year.
5. Watch your credit card statements for purchases made at the end of the month. Those transactions may not post until June and therefore, will be recorded in June unless the Office of Business & Finance is notified.
