Eight Foresters will represent Huntington University at the 2024 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships slated for May 22-24 at Indiana Wesleyan’s Wildcat Track & Field Complex in Marion, Ind.

The Forester women are entered in three running events and a field event.

Malarie Pinwar, seeded tenth, and Emily Tedder, the 16th seed, will be the first to compete for Coach Austin Roark’s squad when they toe the line of the 1500 meter prelims at 3:50 p.m. on Wednesday with the finals two days later at 2:00 p.m. As the 25th seed, Pinwar is also scheduled to run the 5,000 meters. The semi-finals are Thursday at 6:45 p.m. with the finals slated for Friday at 4:30 p.m.

Josey Reineman is representing Huntington in high jump on Friday at 2:00 p.m. The Chambersburg (Pa.) native is picked to finish tenth. Mackenzie Brewer is entered as the 25th seed in the 3,000 meter steeplechase. The semi-finals will take place Wednesday at 7:25 p.m. with the finals set for Friday at 1:00 p.m.

On the men’s side, Huntington will compete in four running events.

For the second consecutive spring, junior Zach Collins will represent the Foresters in two events having qualified for the 200 meters as the 6th seed and the 400 meters as the 29th seed. The 200 meters is first for Collins on Wednesday at 5:35 p.m. followed by the 400 meters on Thursday at 4:20 p.m. The Lakewood Christian product has an outdoor All-American shoutout to his name having finished sixth in the 400 meters last year.

Kent Yoder, seeded 28th, will line-up for the 10,000 meters on Wednesday at 9:10 p.m. It’s his fourth time competing in the 10K on the big stage which included outrunning his seeding by six spots last spring to earn his first outdoor All-American praise.

Austin Liepe will join Yoder in the 10,000 meters on Friday as the 11th seed. Rounding out HU’s performance this coming week is Reece Gibson who is slated to run the 3,000 meter steeplechase semis on Wednesday at 7:55 p.m. as the 15th seed. Finals are scheduled for Friday at 1:20 p.m.
