The Crossroads League announced its 2023 Men’s Soccer All-League honorees and headlining the list for Huntington is freshman Sam Dolobaipu who was tabbed the league’s Newcomer of the Year.

Dolobaipu (Sioux Falls, S.D./North Community HS) netted a team-best ten goals, three of which were game-winners, while handing out a team-leading five assists for 25 points. The 6-3 midfielder currently sits fifth in the conference in goals scored, 12th in total assists and fifth in total points.

Graduate student Higor Barbieri (Campinas, Brazil/Dodge City CC) earned a spot on the Honorable Mention squad. A First Team pick last season, the 5-10 forward put up eight goals this year, which ranks him ninth among his league peers, and two assists for 18 points.

The pair combined to score more than half their team’s 35 goals this season. The Foresters finished the year with an overall record of 7-8-4 which included a 4-4-1 record in league play for the sixth spot in the regular season standings.
