WOMEN’S GOLF
The Forester women’s golf team shot a 654 to finish 6th out of ten teams at the Players Club Invitational over the weekend at The Players Club in Yorktown (Ind.).
After posting a 336 on Friday afternoon for the seventh spot, HU shaved 18 strokes off their total in round two by firing a 318 to move up in the standings by the weekend’s end.
Sophomore Grace Dill led Huntington with a 159 (83-76). Kira Moore turned in an 82 on Friday and an 81 on Saturday to post a 163. Abby Sheehan was next for Davis’ crew with a 164 (85-79). Danielle Tinsley carded a 168 (86-82) while Madelyn Weaver finished with a 181 (91-90).
UNOH took home the team title with a 618 followed by Taylor (619), Milligan (620), IWU (622), Lawrence Tech (652), HU (650), Midway (657), Mount Vernon (687), Ohio Northern (703) and Rio Grande (741).
Next up is Battle at Brookwood tomorrow and Tuesday in Fort Wayne.
