MEN’S TENNIS

For the seventh time this year, the #22 Huntington men’s tennis blanked their opponent with IU Southeast their latest victim on Saturday at Klopfenstein Courts.

In addition to enjoying their 16th win of the season, the Foresters also celebrated their seniors. Coach Poncio’s seniors include Ethan Hyde, Diego Tapia, Angel Vazquez, Agustin Agosto and Mateo Ameller. Alejo Bagnera and Illia Turaba were also honored as graduate students playing the last home match of their HU career.

Huntington’s record stands at 16-6. Poncio and crew now lie in wait until May 4 to see if they receive an at-large bid to the 71st annual NAIA Men’s Tennis National Championships in Mobile (Ala.) slated for May 16-20.
