WOMEN’S GOLF

The Huntington women’s golf team enjoyed a gorgeous day on Monday at Sagamore Golf Club competing in Indiana Wesleyan’s Sagamore Shootout where they finished sixth with a two-round score of 704 (357-347).

Danielle Tinsley led the Foresters by firing a 159 (79-80) to claim eighth out of 39 golfers. Grace Dill took 26th with a 180 (91-89). Abby Sheehan turned in a 91 each round to finish with a 182 while Lauren Slottke was one stroke back with a 183 (96-87). Rounding out HU’s play was Akira Seals with a 209 (106-103).

Indiana Wesleyan took home the team title with a 625 followed by Marian (628), Grace (659), IU Kokomo (690), St.-Mary-of-the-Woods (703), HU (704) and Holy Cross (796).

The Foresters wrap up the year on April 17 with the Ackerman-Allen Shootout.
