Spring 2023 OER Opportunities from PALNI
PALSave programming offered this spring:
Please fill this out if you are using a zero-cost textbook this semester. Even if you’ve filled it out for a course in the past, having updated enrollment information is useful to our data collection. Thank you in advance!
2. Spring Open Textbook Webinar Workshop, Thursday, March 9, 3:00-3:50 p.m. Eastern Time
The Open Textbook Workshop is an introduction of open educational resources — why they are important, where to find them, and how you can use them. Register for the workshop at this link. $200 stipends are available to professors who attend the workshop and write a review of an open text.
3. 2023-2024 $500 Redesign Grants
Redesign grant applications are open for the 2023-2024 academic year. These grants are to assist faculty financially with the work that goes into converting a course from a traditionally published textbook to a zero-cost option. “Zero-cost” can mean an open textbook, a library e-book, or a combination of compiled resources, as long as the textbook costs are free to students. Faculty are eligible for one redesign grant per academic year. The application is available on our website, with acceptance notices being sent out weekly.
