INDOOR TRACK & FIELD

The USTFCCCA has announced that Huntington’s Addy Wiley has been named the M-F Athletic National Athlete of the Week at the NAIA level for her extraordinary performance over the weekend at Indiana Tech’s Warrior Indoor Invitational.

In a matter of two hours, the freshman sensation raced her way to three impressive wins with all three times the best in the NAIA. Her first race was the 600 meters in which she clocked in at 1:29.77, which is the fastest-known time in NAIA history.

Not long after, she toed the 800 meters where she posted a mark of 2:09.76 to win by over 20 seconds and claim the No. 4 spot in the all-time NAIA record books. She wrapped up the day by capturing the 1,000 meters in 2:51.56 which places her No. 8 on the all-time NAIA list.

In addition to leading the NAIA in these three events, she also claims the fastest 3K time of 9:24.28, a mark she achieved at the Grand Valley State University Holiday Open in December.

This is Wiley’s third M-F Athletic National Athlete of the Week badge, with her first two designations coming in cross country this past fall.
