Makayla James Hired as ABLE Director
Makayla James was selected as the new director of the ABLE program. The Office of Student Life staff and the Academic Center for Excellence are pleased to have Makayla join the team. You can find Makayla in ACE or providing support to various students around campus. She will hit the ground running at the beginning of January. Makayla is a 2020 Huntington University graduate in elementary and special education. Since graduating, Makayla has worked as a 6th and 7th grade special education teacher at Crestview Middle School. Before graduation, Makayla was a peer mentor with the ABLE program and was a CMC her sophomore year. She assisted with the Friesen Center her junior year and was a part of SAB her senior year.
Makayla says she is “thrilled to be back on campus, and I’m excited to see how God uses me in this new role as the ABLE director.” We are excited to welcome Makayla back home to Huntington University.
