MEN’S TENNIS
The Huntington men’s tennis team was well-represented on the 2022-23 All-Conference line-up, as four of the 17 members were Foresters.
Alejo Bagnera boasts his third All-Conference badge in as many seasons in green and white. Playing multiple spots throughout the fall season, he registered a 4-4 regular season record in singles play against his league foes and a 3-4 record in doubles action.
Also recognized as one of the best in the league was Mateo Ameller who repeats as an All-Conference honoree. He was a perfect 6-0 in singles action in conference matches primarily at the No. 3 spot while going 5-3 in doubles play where he most often competed at the No. 2 spot.
Agustin Agosto splashed onto the scene this fall as a senior transfer. He finished the season at #1 singles, accumulating a 3-4 record along the way when it came to league matches, and was difficult to beat at #1 doubles where his posted a 6-2 record.
Teaming up with Agosto at #1 doubles was Valentin Mussi. In addition to his success in doubles play, he was unblemished in singles action having spent most of his time at the #4 spot. He was a perfect 8-0 and for his efforts was named to the All-League Team.
The Foresters racked up ten wins against two losses this season which included a 7-1 record in CL action to finish second in the league standings. ITA Regionals, which runs from September 28-October 1, rounds out the fall portion of HU’s schedule.
