4th of July HU Arizona Style – Grilled Meat & Large Explosions

Monday night saw another 4th of July come to HU Arizona, with a festive gathering as part of the celebration. Six years ago, the first Fireworks/Cookout was attended by the entire HU Arizona faculty and staff (four of us) and families. This year we hosted almost 100 people, as both incoming and current students attended along with a nice group of recent grads. The burgers and brats were flipped without incident, and the always outstanding City of Peoria’s firework display just across the street was witnessed by the HU Arizona contingent from one of the many patios and balconies on our building. Plus the temperature was under 100 degrees that evening!
