Michelsons Around the Globe

Paul and Jean Michelson are at the site of the 9th International Congress on Romanian Studies in Timișoara, Romania. Paul has attended all of these congresses, beginning with the first one at the Sorbonne in 1986. He may be the only person to have done so. Additionally, Paul is the only one who has presented a paper at all nine congresses, all under the banner of Huntington College/University.

Following the congress, Paul will be going back to Cluj, Romania, where he will be recognized with honorary membership in the Institute of History at Cluj. He was actually elected in 2021 during the 100th anniversary of the Institute, but because of COVID-19, the ceremony will be held now.

Following that Paul will give a paper on a roundtable on history and historians today.

Then on June 21, the Michelsons will go to Oxford to do research on the evangelical struggle for religious freedom in interwar Romania.
