Chapel Sept. 30 – Rev. Wallace Butts

Wallace Butts is a husband, father, community leader, entrepreneur, public speaker, and advocate for youth aging out of foster care. His passion is to give young adults the necessary tools to discover who they are, help them heal, become part of a strong family unit, and build a legacy. Before becoming the executive director of Love Community Center in 2008, Wallace had a 20-year tenure in Information Technology as a test engineer with Tokheim Corporation and a business systems analyst with Parkview Health in Fort Wayne. In 2012, he became the lead pastor of Love Church. Two years prior, the ministry he founded, Kingdom Builders Fellowship, merged with Love Church. Wallace not only pastors but oversees operations for Love Church Ministries’ Social Enterprise called Love Auto Repair (LAR), which opened in 2010, and FaMBET: A Forever Family, a Mission of Business & Entrepreneurial Training launched in 2015. Wallace has been a strong voice within the Fort Wayne community and, during the early days of the pandemic, was part of the Allen County Department of Health Faith Community Team convened by Dr. Deborah McMahon, the former Allen County Health Commissioner. He is also one of the founders of the L3 Movement, an organization dealing with racial reconciliation and healing. Originally from Norfolk, Virginia, he and his lovely wife Carla call Fort Wayne home. They have five exceptional adult children and three beautiful grandchildren.

Pastor Butt’s message explores the topic of compassion and its relevance in our lives, pulling from the Gospels of John, Matthew, and Luke.
