Huntington Challenges Smash Champions Manchester
Saturday, Sept. 18 – Huntington Esports fell to defending champions Manchester University in Smash Bros. for Week 2 of the GLEC tournament. Jacob Farmer and Jonathan Thomas returned this week to lead the Foresters to a win in Game 1, but Manchester came roaring back in a punishing Game 2, where HU only managed three knockouts. Newcomer Alex Anderson (freshman) held off MU in Game 3 with five of his eight KOs, but the Spartans took home the win this week.

Our Smash team falls to fourth place in the GLEC and faces Valparaiso (0-1) next. The match will be broadcast live Saturday, September 25 at 10:00 a.m. on twitch.tv/hu_esports.
HU’s new Overwatch team will also begin competition this Saturday versus Trine (1-1) at noon. A livestream of the match should be available on Trine’s Twitch channel.
