WOMEN’S TENNIS
The HU women’s tennis team started off their match with Olivet Nazarene by winning the point in doubles action before losing the battle in singles play to find themselves on the wrong end of a 4-2 decision Friday afternoon at Klopfenstein Courts.
Freshman Esther Bolon was a double winner for the Foresters. She and Courtney Rich, after finding themselves down 5-2, mounted an impressive comeback 7-5 win at No. 3 doubles. The Lima (Ohio) native went on to post Huntington’s only win in singles by downing Heidi Moyo 6-4, 6-2 at the #2 spot.
The Foresters (0-4) jump back into league play tomorrow to take on Bethel and Indiana Wesleyan at Baker Park in Mishawaka.
