In a clash between two squads receiving votes in the latest national poll, the HU men’s tennis team edged out Warner 4-3 on day one of the IWU Doc Richards Tournament at Klopfenstein Courts.

With this win, the Foresters improve to 12-5 on the year. It’s their second straight win over a team receiving votes.

HU snagged the point in doubles action with wins at the #2 and #3 spots and then split with the Royals (5-7) in singles play to log the one-point victory. Poncio and crew look forward to their match with #20 UNOH tomorrow at 5:00 p.m.
