New Student Orientation Workshops
As we are preparing to welcome the new class of Huntington University students in the fall, we are designing new and creative ways to effectively do that through Orientation. Specifically, we are planning a unique new student orientation activity for our Fall Orientation Weekend for 2021, and we need your help to make it happen!
The activity will be a group of workshops designed to help teach students tools to succeed in this new college environment. These workshops will be 30 minutes each and be held on the Friday and Saturday of Orientation from 1:15-1:45 p.m. and 2:00-2:30 p.m. You would run one 30-minute workshop of your choice four times throughout the weekend (two times on Friday and two times on Saturday).
We are looking to be able to offer eight different workshops that student will be able to choose between. We will have three categories that you can choose between to lead your workshop.
1.) Cross-Cultural Engagement
2.) Financial Understanding
3.) Tools for Student Success
Students will be required to attend four total and at least one from each category.
Please use this form to submit your proposal to run a workshop. We ask for them to be submitted no later than March 31 so that we can start planning accordingly.
Thanks for your help as we work together to set our students up for success at Huntington University. If this is not a way that you would like to participate in Orientation, we will be sending out communication in the coming weeks about alternative ways that you can participate in Orientation!
