Students who aren’t able to join in person will have the option to register virtually. They will be able to join the Welcome Session and Parent Session via livestream. The registrar will put together a class schedule for them and email it to them with instructions for how to contact their advisor to make changes. (This process is identical to how we structured registration during 2020.)
Faculty: The main change this year is that the Office of the Registrar will be putting together class schedules for attendees prior to April 17. Faculty will be meeting with incoming new students from 11:00-11:45 a.m. in pre-determined locations around campus, dependent on space needed for social distancing. This time is intended to be used to go over class schedules with incoming students, making changes as desired, answering questions, and providing a preview for what to expect. Smaller departments may not need the entire 45 minutes allotted and can send students back to the MCA as early as 11:30 a.m. Parents will not be joining for advising sessions.
Special notes: Arrangements have been made for students who are planning to double major and undecided students. Locations for faculty advising meetings have not yet been set. Please contact Beth Dubois if you have a preference for meeting location. As the RSVPs come in, we’ll have a better idea for how large of a space each department will need.
