Staying Stress-Free and Happy in the Workplace
The Huntington County Chamber of Commerce will hold a Lunch ’n Learn on Wednesday, March 24. The event will be held at Faith Community Church of God, 3615 N. Norwood Road, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Lunch ’n Learn is titled “Staying Stress-Free and Happy in Today’s Workplace.”
Our world is a very stressful place right now as we deal with COVID-19 and its restrictions and protocol, the political climate, children out of school doing e-learning, and parents trying to find ways to balance work and home life. It has begun to take a toll on individuals, and beginning to cause a great deal of stress.
Work, stress, health, and wellness are all interconnected. This event will provide an opportunity to learn how to manage stress and bounce back so that your employees and businesses can thrive, even during difficult times.
Some of the objectives you will learn include understanding the causes of employee stress and its impact on the workplace and recognizing and differentiating the signs and symptoms of stress, sadness, and depression. The attendee will also gain practical skills in learning how to manage the impact of stress in the workplace.
This Staying Stress-Free and Happy Lunch ’n Learn will be presented by Mental Health America of Northeast Indiana. The flyer for the event can be found here.
If you would like to attend this event and learn more about how to deal with mental health issues, please reply to skimmel@huntington-chamber.com or call the office at (260) 356-5300. There is a $15 fee to attend which includes lunch. Deadline to register is Friday, March 19. There will be plenty of room for social distancing and lunch will be provided in boxed form.
