MEN’S TENNIS
The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its 2020 Oracle ITA NAIA national men’s singles rankings and among the elite list was Huntington University junior Alejo Bagnera.
Bagnera ranked 23rd on the list of the nation’s top 50 NAIA players. Six of his Crossroads League peers also appeared on the esteemed list.
A transfer from Cumberland University, Bagnera was quick to establish himself as Coach Ignacio Poncio’s No. 1 player this fall. The Santa Fe, Argentina native piled up 11 wins against just two losses in singles action while registering an 8-4 doubles record.
Bagnera garnered All-Conference accolades after posting a 7-1 singles record and 5-2 doubles record in league play. His accomplishments also included making it to the semifinals of the ITA Regional Championships as the fourth seed.
