Achiever: Possesses stamina to work hard
- This student works with checklists and is self-motivated. In the classroom, this student demonstrates diligence, submitting homework in a timely fashion, and remaining attentive in class.
- As an instructor, help the Achiever measure success and celebrate accomplishments.
Activator: Makes things happen
- The Activator prefers to do something instead of talk about a project. After deciding, the Activator acts quickly, turning ideas into concrete steps.
- As an instructor, look to the Activator to be a catalyst in group projects. Help the student explore how to start assignments to follow through on coursework.
Adaptability: Goes with the flow
- The student with Adaptability as a strength flexes with any situation. Adaptability lets the student meet demands in the moment and prefers each day to be different.
- As an instructor, provide variety in the classroom and outline specific next steps for the student.
Analytical: Searches for reasons
- The Analytical student asks questions to search for underlying causes, looking for facts. The student with Analytical as a strength applies logic and rigor to get at facts.
- As an instructor, provide exact research data to facilitate the Analytical student’s comprehension and challenge them to provide the best research for projects and coursework.
