WOMEN’S TENNIS

The Forester women’s tennis team wrapped up the fall portion of their schedule Wednesday afternoon with a 4-3 win over IU Kokomo at Forest Park.

The day was also marked as senior Lanae Singleton’s last match in a Forester jersey because she finishes up her coursework in December. After teaming up with Morgan Fitzpatrick to win #1 doubles, she went on to claim a straight set victory at the No. 1 spot in singles action for a fitting conclusion to a great career.

“It’s been an honor and a privilege to coach Lanae the past four years,” said Coach Ferguson. “Her work ethic and team-first mentality are things every coach loves to see in a player. Lanae is one of our team captains and she has fulfilled that role with outstanding grace.”

With this win, HU improves to 5-5 on the year. The Foresters will resume play in the spring.
