Huntington University sophomore Emma Wilson ran an incredible race over the weekend to be tabbed the NAIA Women’s Runner of the Week as announced by the national office earlier this morning.

The Greencastle native took first at the Foresters’ own invitational. Not only did she run away from the competition with 90 seconds separating her from the 2nd-place finisher, she also shattered the course by 25 seconds with her time of 17:13.

Wilson posted an average mile time of 5:33 on her way to leading the Foresters to the team title.

Huntington is back in action over the weekend to compete in the NAIA Seminole Valley Stampede.
