MEN’S TENNIS

Huntington junior Alejo Bagnera was one of 15 men’s tennis players to be tabbed All-Conference as announced by the Crossroads League earlier today.

Bagnera splashed onto the scene this fall as a transfer from Cumberland University to quickly establish himself as one of the league’s best. Playing at the No. 1 singles spot for HU, he collected seven wins against just one loss in the CL regular season. He also logged a 5-2 record at the top spot in doubles action.

Playing in the ITA Regional Championships last week, Bagnera was seeded 4th in the Midwest bracket and lived up to that billing by making it to the semifinals of the tournament.

Bagnera posted an overall singles record of 11-2 and an overall doubles record of 8-4 this fall. The Foresters finished 4th in league play with a record of 5-3 and wrapped up the fall portion of their schedule with an overall record of 6-4.
