The Forester women’s tennis team suffered a pair of league losses at IWU’s Sutter Tennis Center Wednesday afternoon to drop to 3-3 on the year, 3-3 in league play.

In Huntington’s first match of the day against Grace, Morgan Fitzpatrick and Lisa Colling each picked up a win in singles action to account for HU’s points in a 5-2 loss. At the No. 1 spot, Fitzpatrick made quick work of Ellie Hughes by giving up just one game for a 6-1, 6-0 win.

Colling, playing at the three spot, also won in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4, over Jayna Armstrong.

Against the host Wildcats shortly after, the Foresters were blanked for the first time this season at 7-0. IWU, ranked 11th nationally, continues to exploit their opponents as evidenced by sweeping every team they’ve played so far this fall

HU will look to bounce back on Saturday when they travel to Mount Vernon to take on Marian and the host Cougars at 1:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. respectively.
