MEN’S TENNIS
In a clash with the other two undefeated Crossroads League teams, the Forester men’s tennis team didn’t fare so well to drop a 5-2 decision to Grace and then suffer a 7-0 loss to #14 Indiana Wesleyan. HU, now 4-2, entered the day with an unblemished overall and conference record of 4-0.
Against Grace to kick off the tri-match at the Sutton Tennis Center, HU’s points came by way of Alejo Bagnera’s win at #1 singles and Mateo Ameller’s win at #5 singles.
The Foresters were right back at it to face the Wildcats who wasted little time picking up their eighth win of the season by sweeping doubles for the point and then winning in straight sets in singles action.
Along with IWU and Grace, Huntington is one of three CL teams to remain perfect in league play. That will change on Wednesday as all three teams meet up in Marion for a tri-match that includes HU taking on Indiana Wesleyan at 9:30 a.m. following by a date with Grace at 1:00 p.m.
