The Forester men’s tennis team remained unscathed on the year with a pair of convincing conference wins Saturday at Klopfenstein Courts. HU is 4-0 on the season, 4-0 in CL action.

Against Spring Arbor in the morning, HU posted a 6-1 decision with the biggest battle coming at No. 1 singles where Illia Turaba eventually wore down Joel Mast, 7-6 (6), 6-7 (6), (15-13). HU earned the point in doubles by winning at the No. 1 and No. 3 spots after which Alejo Bagnera, Diego Tapia, Rodrigo Manzo and Mateo Ameller tallied straight set wins to easily polish off the Cougars.

HU has pieced together ten consecutive wins over SAU.

The Foresters’ second win of the day was a sweep, their second of the year, over Bethel which included giving up just 17 games in singles action. HU has monopolized this league matchup by racking up 13 straight wins over the Pilots with their string of wins starting back in 2009.

Along with IWU and Grace, Huntington is one of three CL teams to remain perfect in league play. That will change on Wednesday as all three teams meet up in Marion for a tri-match that includes HU taking on Indiana Wesleyan at 9:30 a.m. following by a date with Grace at 1:00 p.m.
