Planting at Thornhill

The Department of Agriculture and Forester Farms took advantage of the nice weather the last couple of weeks to plant our soybeans and corn this year at Thornhill. Once again, we are certainly thankful to the many companies that donated product such as seed and fertilizer and a neighboring farmer that helped, too! There will be a soybean trial along the drive this year focusing on the impact of treatments to digest the stubble and increase microbial activity. And the corn trial will take place on a portion of the remaining acres, which will showcase four different corn varieties.
