CARES Act – Retirement Plan Changes

Huntington University as adopted the CARES Act provisions passed in recent government legislation for both our current retirement plan and also as we join the ICI Multiple Employer Plan later this spring.  The CARES Act provides additional options for relief for plan participants affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Both TIAA and Millennium Advisory Services have prepared special communications for participants. These communications can be accessed on the HU Portal under Personnel > Benefits > Retirement.

The memos briefly explain the changes our plan adopted as a result of this new legislation.  The first one is the CARES Act from TIAA. The second memo is The CARES Act and your Retirement Plan from Millennium Advisory Services.

Please carefully read through these documents. TIAA and Millennium Advisory Services are prepared to answer any specific questions you have regarding the CARES Act and our retirement plan.
