New Year. Same Ninjas.

Your creative ninjas are embracing 2020 with renewed focus and excitement, but before we get too carried away with the energy of the new year, let’s recap a bit.

In 2019, University Relations made some changes…

* The Ask University Relations Form (also called the Ninja Form). This is your one-stop-shop for ALL marketing, website, communications, social media, etc. requests. Simply type www.huntington.edu/AskUniversityRelations into your browser and fill out the simple form.
* An eight-week project lead time. We didn’t make this change to our policies lightly; in fact, we stewed on this one for a while. In the end, however, we just weren’t doing the best work we could because we were always behind or rushing projects. University Relations is doing more projects now than ever before and we LOVE that, but we want to do everything to the best of our ability, and that requires a bit more time. Also, many of your requests require outside vendors to produce your requests, and that takes time.

But those changes have yielded great results. For instance, we have…
* streamlined our processes using Microsoft Teams (thank you Office of IT Services!) and are now able to juggle dozens of projects at the same time – in fact, right now we have over 100 active projects
* overhauled the undergrad admissions marketing materials (and the feedback so far has been positive!)
* upgraded our photo archives (again, with positive feedback)
* created the Winter 2020 Step Forward magazine
* partnered with advancement to plan and execute the Oct. 17 Step Forward event
* created the materials necessary to launch Step Forward, HU’s $40 million comprehensive campaign
* and that’s just the tip of the iceberg!

We are excited about 2020 and all we will accomplish this year.
