VOLLEYBALL

The Crossroads League announced its 2019 Volleyball All-Conference honorees and among the list were four Forester players.

Senior Paige Eakright topped the list for HU as a First Team All-League selection. After earning a spot on the All-Freshmen Team as a rookie, she was named to the Second Team last year before being tabbed as one of league’s best this fall. She was one of 14 players named First Team.

The 5-10 outside hitter led HU offensively with 416 kills for an average kill per set of 3.33, the second best in the league. Eakright did a little bit of everything for her team as she also posted 26 blocks, 327 digs, 19 aces and a .942 serving percentage.

Junior Ariene Butler was named Second Team All-League for her work as a defensive specialist. The 5-5 libero racked up a team-best 599 digs to rank fourth among her league peers. She also logged a team-leading 612 receptions with a passing accuracy of .954 and registered a .958 serve percentage.

It’s Butler’s third straight CL badge in as many years. Her first year in Forester green she landed a spot on the All-Freshmen Team. Last year she garnered Honorable Mention accolades.

Junior Jennings Tacosik repeated as an Honorable Mention pick. The 5-9 setter posted 1,111 assists this season which ranks her fifth in the league. She also currently sits fourth nationally in total aces with 65. Additionally, her resume this season includes 141 kills and 19 blocks.

Sophomore Lindsay Ingenito also earned the respect of the league coaches by being named Honorable Mention. The 5-8 middle blocker exploded for 223 kills and a .273 hitting percentage. She also finished second on the team in blocks with 45, which included eight solos.
