Chapel Nov. 14 – Lynette Fager

Lynette (Miller) Fager is the leader of a band of ninjas, creative ninjas. Officially her title is Director of Communication, a mantle she accepted in 2018, and officially her team is called University Relations, but seeing as her three-person team leads the marketing and communication efforts for all of Huntington University – that includes all print items, marketing materials, advertising, and the website, as well as all marketing and communication language and content – she prefers to think of her team as creative ninjas who get the job done.

“Director” wasn’t her first title at Huntington University. When she returned to her alma mater (she’s an HU grad, Class of 2010), she was the web and social media coordinator. But even that wasn’t her first gig at HU. While she was still the editor of Business People Magazine and Michiana Business Publications, Lynette began teaching the Social Media class at Huntington University. And it’s in this capacity that many students know Lynette. Having taught the class since 2013, Lynette has had the privilege to teach over 140 Foresters the power and purpose of social media, and an additional score of students strategy and savvy of public relations.

Lynette and her husband Josh met at Huntington University and were married in 2011. They live in Fort Wayne with their sons, Xander and Kit. In her spare time, Lynette enjoys drinking coffee, reading excellent literature, and watching Gilmore Girls, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and The West Wing.
