MEN’S TENNIS
The Huntington men’s tennis team came up big Thursday afternoon at Meier Tennis Courts by beating Taylor 5-2 in the last regular season match of league play. The W solidifies the No. 5 spot for the Foresters in the final seeding for the Crossroads League tournament.
The stakes were high as both teams entered the match claiming identical 4-4 records in a tie for fifth. The win gives HU sole rights to fifth while the Trojans drop to sixth.
Eckert’s crew will travel to 4th-seeded Goshen on Tuesday in first round action of the CL tourney. The Foresters will look to avenge a 5-2 loss to the Maple Leafs back on September 17.
