Huntington University junior Hannah Stoffel has been named the NAIA Women’s Runner of the Week for her outstanding performance at IWU’s Twilight Invitational Friday night.

The Huntington native clocked in at 17:19.9 for a 5:34.7 per mile pace to blow away the competition as her nearest competitor was 40 seconds behind her. Stoffel’s winning time proved not only a new HU program record but a new course and meet record as well.

Stoffel currently sits atop the NAIA for the fastest 5K time this fall in addition to ranking in the top ten across all college divisions.

The Foresters are back in action Friday afternoon to run in the Rumble in the Fort.
