Retirement Plan

Periodically, the Department of Labor (DOL) requires employers to update their retirement plan documents to incorporate revisions in laws and new regulations. Our retirement plan document was updated this summer to reflect these revisions.

The information in the plan revision must be provided in a format that can be understood by the general population. The document describes all the important features of the plan. This format is called the Summary Plan Description.

A copy of the HU Retirement Plan “Summary Plan Description-2019”is located on the portal under Personnel > Benefits > Retirement. The most recent SPD replaces the previous version of the SPD dated 2015.
